Where can I find the VIN?

The VIN can be found by looking at the dashboard on the driver side of the vehicle. If the VIN cannot be found, open the driver side door and look at the door post (where the door latches when it is closed). It is likely that the VIN will also be displayed in this location.

VIN numbers can also be found on the insurance information for most vehicles.  The insurance card and/or policy information will always have the covered vehicles VIN number on them.  Also, the title and registration paperwork always has the VIN number on it.  If using this information, always make sure that the VIN number on the paperwork always matches the VIN number in the vehicles windshield or door (as seen in picture above).
